This architectural masterpiece from 1568 only has one modest tower and it is probably the most beautiful church of Ayacucho. The size is amazing, retables are numerous and very colored and elegant. The altar has some various patterns; dozens of paintings are decorating the walls, mixing Saints, Incas and Spanish Kings, the wooden sculpted chair standing over followers… The connected convent has a valuable library that contains very old texts. This is a safe heaven, between gardens, patios and small muffled streets.
